Tents of the tanks are grouped in the line together, used in the aeroplane parts production. The tank dimensions are: length 14.97 m, width 1.75 m, height 3.65 m. The relatively complicated model was easily created using the modelling capabilities of SCIA Engineer. Free loads enabled us to apply the tank loading and the analysis of hundreds of thousands of equations was solved in hours. The main challenge of this type of structures is repeated geometrical nonlinear analysis which must be used as an indirect method for finding the critical stability load factor because the polyethylene material requires us to take into account the 2nd order effects and the linear stability is not sufficient.
