This plant produces 30 MW green electrical power and additionally also district heat out from waste wood. Special attention has been paid to the overall design to create an architectural landmark in an area that had been previously occupied by facilities for an old-fashioned coal fired boiler and its cooling towers. ANDRITZ was responsible for delivering the boiler island. Within this scope, various steel structures for the boiler building, turbine building, district heat building, fuel and ash has been designed, manufactured and installed by ANDRITZ. The total amount had been approximately 1550 t. SCIA Engineer was used for designing steel structures as well as some shell structures and special parts for the boiler and economizer.
