OWNER Town of Nachod GENERAL CONTRACTOR n/a CONSTRUCTION PERIOD 05/2017 - n/a The structure of the colonnade roofing combines steel and reinforced concrete and is 3.8 m high, 4.0 m wide and 60 m long. The load bearing structure was calculated in SCIA Engineer and then exported to Allplan to finalise detail design drawings of the reinforcement. The whole structure was calculated using a complete 3D-model. In this way, the total influence of all external loads can be considered, and the global stability analysed. Also calculated were the deformations and details of connections. The designer used strong points of the two programs for smooth cooperation with the contractor. Using SCIA Engineer and Allplan together helped complete the full design of this unusual structure not only its modelling.
