188 The structure has a rectangular plan that is approximately 100 x 65 m in size. It consists of 4 floors, of which 1 is underground and 3 floors are above the ground with the total height of approximately 11 m. The supporting structure is made of reinforced concrete elements cast in situ and prefabricated pillars. The tiers of seats are made of prefabricated reinforced concrete elements. The stairs/ elevator cores located in the 4 corners of the building provide the resistance to horizontal actions. The domed roof is made of steel. Modelling was done with SCIA Engineer 19.0. All the elements are organized in a well-defined layer structure. Concrete parts like foundations, walls and floor slabs are modelled with 2D members. Mesh refinement option has been used in the most stressed elements. All the columns as well as the steel elements of the domed roof are modelled with 1D members. The tiers of seats (prefabricated reinforced concrete elements) are introduced in the model as load panels. SCIA Engineer was very useful in the modelling of the complex geometry: in particular, it allowed us to evaluate accurately the interaction between the reinforced concrete structure (modelled with 2D members) and the domed roof made of steel 1D members. The final result is satisfactory.
