1 Dear reader, With great pleasure I present to you the 11th edition of the SCIA User Contest book, illustrating the impressive and challenging designs of our customers. This year’s edition, we are making history, literally, with our catchy title “Be Part of the History”. With the help of SCIA Engineer, these structures and designs will be part of today’s landscape, shaping our future. Dynamic leadership and innovation are keywords when operating in a continuously growing environment. So, for this edition we decided to go for a new look and feel, more premium, more tech savvy and more tangible with AR elements. Simply more of everything. In this book you will take a tour through the exceptional and ingenious projects of our 132 outstanding participants allowing you to emerge yourself into SCIA’s world. And what would a tech company be without something cutting-edge to surprise you? Keep your smartphones close by, because our app with Augmented Reality will take you on a trip, showcasing the models and designs in an interactive and inspiring way. Our international jury was amazed by the impressive designs of all our participants. We want to thank them for reviewing each and every project with a judging eye but, above all, with passion and devotion. Not only the judges could elect a winner. We appreciate our diverse customer base; therefore, the public’s opinion also matters. As such, a special “Prize of the Public” was rewarded to the project with the most votes. Every project has its own personality, created by people designing them and people using SCIA Engineer to put them to the test. You are all amazing!
