The building will include 31,000 m² of office and retail space and 600 parking spaces. The building will meet sustainability criteria guaranteed by LEED certification. The building’s upper structure has three height levels: 9 and 19 floors in the office section and 3 floors in the parking section. The lower structure includes 3 underground floors for parking and technical areas. The whole building forms a single unit with no expansion joints. Therefore, the crucial requirement when designing the foundation was to limit uneven settlement between the individual parts of different upper structure heights, which was achieved by applying a piled raft foundation. The structure consists of an in-situ reinforced concrete skeleton using flat slabs with spans of up to 9 m and two main cores. BIM technology was fully applied during the design, starting from the building permit documentation stage, by sharing one common model between architects and structural engineers. The deadlines were very tight during the whole design process but SCIA Engineer allowed us to change the structure promptly and easily . The Soil-In module was applied for the design and optimisation of the piled raft foundation. In-situ monitoring of settlement shows very good concordance with the calculations. 6000 m² 6000 m²
