Tomáš Gúcky Sládkovičova 2052/50, 92701 Šaľa (SK) www.visia.sk The residential complex Južné Mesto Etapa C4 is located in Petržalka – South, Bratislava, Slovakia. It consists of five buildings. The main shape of the buildings is a rectangle with irregular balconies and building extensions. The buildings have 6 and 7 storeys with a common underground parking floor. Between the buildings, there are roads, parking lots, terraces and a green area. First floors serve for commercial purposes while flats are situated on upper floors. All flats include a balcony or a terrace. The structure is made from reinforced concrete and masonry and consists mainly of walls, columns, beams and slabs. The foundation consists of a combined slabs- piles construction. Due to the complex interaction between structural members and use of various materials, each building had to be analysed as a unit. SCIA Engineer was used to create a full FE models and analyse it. The results of the analysis were used in the design. Balcony slabs were not modelled because they are fixed to ceiling slabs via load bearing thermal break elements. Therefore, the balcony slabs were replaced by additional loads. Due to the changes of foundation system it was very beneficial to model how the structure interacts with the subsoil using the Soil-interaction module of SCIA Engineer. The Dynamics module was used to create seismic loads. Also used in this project was the Long-term deflection analysis module to check the long-term deflections of the concrete slabs. 6000 m² 6000 m²
