124 Category 3: Industrial Buildings and Plants 3 HV Electrical Revamp Zeeland Refinery - Vlissingen-Oost, The Netherlands AP Owner Zeeland Refinery General Contractor Aannemingsbedrijf Fraanje B.V. Engineering Office Grontmij Nederland BV Construction Period 05/2012 - 06/2013 A new transformer station (72 x 28 m) including different medium and high voltage installations and sufficient capacity has been built for Zeeland Refinery. The building consists of: • Cable cellar (ground level). • Transformer position and fuel storage, including the necessary foundations. • Switchroom above the cable cellar. The structural model was created using Allplan Engineering and included in-situ concrete foundations, cellar floor and concrete walls. The superstructure consisted of a prefabricated concrete column/beam structure with wide slab floors and a hollow core slab roof. All constructive layout drawings of the building were made in Allplan. Furthermore all in-situ floors, walls and foundations were generated into 2D line drawings. After that all in-situ components were reinforced in the 3D model and generated into 2D drawings, which were released for production. The biggest advantage of reinforcing the concrete in the 3D model was immediate insight into difficult cable entry points.
