128 This project involves the construction of an industrial building with a parking house level. To optimize the internal space, the craneway structure and mid bearer are combined into a central support structure, reducing the need for internal columns. The parking house features an internal ramp that allows access from the entrance to level +1 on the opposite side. SCIA Engineer played a crucial role in this project, offering useful functionalities for structural modelling. Load panels, 3D climatic load generators based on Eurocode (wind and snow), nonlinear static calculations with tension-only beams, and DWG import were utilized. The craneway structure was checked using the mobile loads module. The export of IFC models facilitated BIM interaction with the client, resulting in time savings. Mobile load calculations significantly reduced the overall project duration. Given the unique interior design with different levels and the presence of a ramp, effective communication was vital. The seamless interaction between SCIA Engineer and the overall design, along with the IFC export capability, ensured smooth adaptation and coordination throughout the project.
