155 AMERICAN CEMETERY VISITOR CENTER Margraten, Netherlands The Netherlands American Cemetery at Margraten will have a new visitor center—a reinforced concrete monument. The building features layered cast-inplace concrete walls and a surrounding curtain with varying colors and lines. The load-bearing walls have a floor plan dimension of 12 x 12 m, while the roof structure and concrete curtain measure 29 x 29 m. The roof structure incorporates substantial cantilever beams. The curtain wall is initially cast-inplace at ground level and then hydraulically lifted into its final position.
