160 The Palais de Justice canopy is a metal structure covered with glazing, spanning an area of approximately 2500 m². It includes two glazed facades, a front facade and a rear facade. The canopy consists of 39 circular primary arches parallel to the facades, with varying spans and heights. Secondary arcs connect the primary arches in a triangular arrangement, facilitating glazing installation. SCIA Engineer software was used to design and engineer the canopy, overcoming its complex geometry. The analysis involved modelling each arch element using 1D elements and performing a second-order analysis with stability forms and imperfections.
