41 RESIDENTIAL BUILDING ‘DALIMILOVA’ Prague, Czech Republic The building features a structural system consisting of concrete slab and strip foundations for the foundations. The main bearing structure comprises reinforced concrete walls, while the bay windows are cantilevered from the slabs. To ensure rigidity, the border walls and stair walls were designed accordingly. The floor slab is supported by walls and designed as a reinforced concrete slab. In the design process, it was crucial to assess the real behavior of the loadbearing structure and its response to variable soil properties. This required multiple calculations with modifications of input data. An additional modulus called “Soilin” was utilized, allowing the analysis of both the upper structure and subsoil to accurately capture the structural behavior. The structure model was prepared for BIM modelling in Allplan, enabling 3D reinforcement design, and Revit for architectural purposes. SCIA Engineer played a crucial role in the project, facilitating the preparation of various structure alternatives. Throughout the process, there were multiple design iterations to accommodate the specific demands of the client and the architect, ensuring the final design met their requirements.
