45 PRIVATE RESIDENCE MALO Dilbeek, Belgium The positioning of reinforcing bars in the amorphous concrete form posed a significant challenge in this project. To address this, several assumptions were made about the structural behavior, and the entire structure was divided into various components, including foundations, cantilevers, covers, and multi-axial beams. Through iterative processes involving the repositioning of hinges and supports, a unique solution was eventually achieved. This singular solution served as the basis for the calculation of reinforcing bars using an analog approach. Sheet and slab models were employed to ensure crack control, determining the minimum reinforcement required based on stress analysis. Additionally, a 1D model was utilized for the implementation of the strut-and-tie method, particularly in regions with discontinuities. By carefully considering these factors and utilizing appropriate modelling techniques, the project successfully tackled the challenge of positioning reinforcing bars in the amorphous concrete form while ensuring structural integrity and crack control.
