60 The 2080 m² building is located in Pancharevo, near the capital Sofia. The building has 4 storeys above ground level and one storey below ground level. The structure is designed as a reinforced concrete structure with shear walls and RC frames bearing the seismic load. A timber roof structure is designed on top of the last RC slab. The structure is complex. Due to the functional difference between the ground floor and the sublevel parking, there were challenges in positioning the structure’s vertical elements. SCIA Engineer’s capacity in modelling and design of deep beams, shell walls and nonlinear columns proved especially useful. The modelling and design of timber elements were excellent features for this project as Tsenov Consult stayed in SCIA’s ecosystem. Using SCIA Engineer as a primary calculation software, Tsenov Consult made an efficient design of the structure.
