project
ESA-Prima Win biedt binnen dit project de moge-

en combinatie.

Andreas, Petrus and Paulus church
The merge of two churches has lead to the
design of a new church in Maassluis. The
total construction concerns four roofs and
a tower. Considering the design of the
roofs it was very important that the defor-
mation would be kept as small as possible.
The façade between the roofs was foreseen
in glass, so stress would lead directly to
damage. This made it an interesting proj-
ect. To have a clear look at construction a
3D model had been made (exported from
Autocad to EPW, this worked perfectly).
The reaction forces in the arc-shaped
structures, depending on wind and snow
and other variable loads, were calculated.
Second order calculations were used, this
resulted in very small deformations of the
roofs.
