Technum n.v. is een dynamisch, interna-
tionaal georiënteerd en sterk groeiend
multidisciplinair bureau voor engineering
en consultancy met vestigingen in de ver-
schillende Vlaamse provincies.
Technum levert diensten aan overheid,
industriële en dienstverlenende bedrijven,
projectontwikkelaars, internationale instel-
lingen,
… voor elk voorkomend project,
enkelvoudig of
multidisciplinair en in elke
projectfase.
Technum beschikt over de nodige capaci-
teit,
deskundigheid en creativiteit
om
opdrachtgevers een gespecialiseerde en
totale begeleiding te garanderen in tal van
domeinen.
Technum bestaat uit drie Business Units,
gevestigd in Antwerpen, Gent en Hasselt
en heeft twee vestigingen in Leuven en
Oostende.
Deze business units
met hun
verschillende afdelingen liggen geogra-
fisch verspreid in Vlaanderen. Elk van hen
heeft een reputatie van deskundigheid,
gedrevenheid en flexibiliteit.
Door deze geografische spreiding en door
de eigenheid van iedere business unit is
men in staat de vakkennis, de ervaring en
de creativiteit maximaal aan te wenden in
functie van elk project en in functie van de
wensen van de opdrachtgever.
Dit betekent een bijkomende troef voor de
organisatie gezien hun nabijheid met spe-
cifieke markten en hun nabijheid met spe-
cifieke kennisbronnen.

Projectbeschrijving
De bouw van het nieuwe beurscomplex, op
het
oude
Agip-raffinaderijterrein
in
Rho-Pero, is de eerste stap in de herwaarde-
ring van
Milaan als expo-stad.
De totale
structuur heeft een overdekte oppervlakte
van 530.000 m² op een 2.000.000 m² grote
site.
Het gekozen project is een ontwerp
van de Italiaanse architect
Massimiliano
Fuksas, een autoriteit op het vlak van urba-
nisme in grootsteden.
Algemene aannemer
is het Astaldi, Pizzaroti, Vianini Lavori con-
sortium.
Het geheel omvat 8 paviljoenen, 80
congreszalen, 45 bars en restaurants. Van
twee van de acht paviljoenen is de staalcon-
structie uitgevoerd door de Belgisch-Neder-
landse staalconstructeur
ASK-Romein uit
Roosendaal.
Uitvoerings- en detailstudie
van die twee paviljoenen, goed voor 20.000
ton,
werd door ASK-Romein aan Technum
toevertrouwd.
De paviljoenen hebben twee
niveaus, elk goed voor ruim 12.500 m², die
toegankelijk zijn voor vrachtwagens voor de
opbouw van beurzen. Zowel dak- als vloer-
dragers zijn 4m hoge vakwerken die 24 m
overspannen in de dwarse richting en 48 m
in de langse richting.
De vloer is een staalbe-
tonconstructie die 24 m overspant.
Het dak
is afgewerkt met 10 m hoge kegelvormige
lichtkoepels
met een elliptische basis van
35 m bij 21 m.

Exhibition Halls in Milan- Italy
The construction of the new exhibition building on the old Agip refinery site in
Rho-Pero, is the first step in the revaluation of Milan as expo-city. The total struc-
ture has a covered surface of 530.000m² on a site with a surface of 2.000.000 m²
The selected project is a design of the Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas, who
is an authority in the field of urbanism in metropolis. The general contractor of
this project is the consortium Astaldi, Pizzaroti, Vianini Lavori.
The complex encloses 8 pavilions, 80 congress rooms, 45 bars and restaurants.
The Belgian-Dutch steel constructor ASK-Romein from Roosendaal has executed
the steel construction of two of the eight pavilions. Technum nv was charged by
ASK-Romein with the execution and detail study of these 2 pavilions, which repre-
sent 20.000 tons of steel. To realize these studies, ESA-Prima Win was used exten-
sively.
Each pavilion has 2 levels of each 12.500m², which are accessible for trucks dur-
ing the construction of fairs. As well the roof as the floor supports are consisting of
4m long frameworks with a span of 24m in the transversal direction and 48m in
the longitudinal direction. The floor consists of a steel-concrete construction with a
span of 24m. The roof has been finished with a cone-shaped skylight with a height
of 10 m and an elliptic base of 35 m by 21 m.
